(Lynn) Pond, 81, passed away on April 2, 2010 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born to Norma Crane Pond and Bertram P. Pond in Peru, Indiana. She graduated from Classical High School in Springfield, MA and worked at WMAS as the hostess for a program concerning women's issues and household hints. She later moved to Chicago, became a computer programmer, working for Playboy Magazine for several years. She moved to San Francisco, CA, continuing to work in programming until retiring. She moved to Las Cruces in November, 2007. She was a member of Red Hats and enjoyed attending their luncheons. Never married, she is survived by her sister Darlene Forni, her brother-in-law John Forni, nephews Mark Forni, Michael, James, and Daryl Pond, nieces Denise Lemire, Deborah Buescher, Linda Merrill, and Marianne Christensen, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip A. Pond and a sister, Charlotte A. Pond. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Village at Northrise, Morningside, 2880 N. Roadrunner Parkway, in the activities room on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Any memorial contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society or Children's Miracle Network. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home.
