He was born on December 5, 1957 to George Langan Sr. and Betty Knatcher in Wheeler TX. Lacy has been a Clovis resident for the past 29 years, moving here from Elkhart, Kansas. He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1976. Lacy worked for Farwell Schools for 25 years and then most recently the Clovis Municipal Schools. One of Lacy's greatest joys was coaching the One Act Play at Farwell High School, he also spent many summers working on the cast of the Outdoor Drama "Billy the Kid". He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Lacy will be missed by all who loved him dearly, but none more than his only son, Patrick Allen Langan, the loved of his life. He is survived by his father George Langan Sr. and mother Betty Knatcher, stepmother, Carolyn Langan, two sisters, Linda Ispon and Lori (Jon) Hathway, one brother, Lance (Karena) Langan, two half-brothers, Larry Langan and George Langan Jr., stepsisters, Peggy Wyatt and Colleen (Troy) Trenholm, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April19, 2011 at Central Baptist Church with Pastor David Humphery and Pastor Alan McAlister officiating. Cremation has taken place. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Brady, Todd Morris, Steve Garcia, Gerald Woodard, and Eddie Guarjardo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 Montana Avenue, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
