Dickey left this earth on 4/2/2011 after a lifelong battle with depression. His passion for and knowledge of our National Park System provided him with numerous volunteer opportunities that he embraced and found joy in sharing numerous parks with visitors. While his heart was always in the Twin Cities, his journey took him across this country and abroad as he captured wonderful photographs and checked destinations off his "bucket list." His pain is now over and his spirit is free to roam on the wind. He is survived by brothers Bob Dickey and wife Diane in Wisconsin, Dennis Dickey and wife Donna in Las Cruces, and sister Kathe Stark in Las Cruces as well as nephews and nieces and their families: Jennifer, Jim, Jeremy and Jessica Cotturone; James, Christa and Alex Dickey and Jon, Deanna, Tristan and Kendall Dickey, and Michael, Donna, Casey and Robin Dickey. Jeff designated the following charities for donations in his name: El Caldito, PO Box 2833, Las Cruces, NM 88004; Unity South Church, 7950 First Avenue So, Bloomington, MN 55420 for low income and homeless programs, and The KATO Foundation, 56 Danley Ranch Road, Alamogordo, NM 88310.
