Hummell, 23, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Las Cruces. He was born March 31, 1987 in Las Cruces to Gerald and Suellen Smith Hummell. Lance was employed at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico as an assistant physical therapist. An unbelievable compassionate man possessed of a unique spirit. His positive attitude and kindness towards all animals and people touched all who knew him in his 23 years of life. A lover of nature, he had a natural talent for bringing animals to life on paper with his beautiful artwork. Lance cared for his many reptiles with great affections, showing on expert knowledge from a very early age. He eventually acquired four lizards, a king snake and even a rattlesnake that he caught out in the desert that he loved. Lance was a very hard working individual who was self-supporting and alw! ays took responsibility for himself having had a close relationship with his father he was looking forward to the birth of his son in three weeks. With his unique perspective on the world, he found humor in places most others did not with his innocent childlike spirit. He was the focal point of his three older sisters (who affectionately nicknamed him munchkin) and three younger brothers who all had deep love and respect for him. He cannot be replaced and will be deeply missed by the vast number of lives he has impacted.
