She was born July 15, 1940 in Northome, Minnesota to Otto Jourdan and Mabel Hamrey. Ms. Jourdan retired as a freelance editor and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Sean Gates (Elizabeth) and Emerson Gates (Mary Jane) of Las Cruces; one daughter, Krista Gates of Falls Church, Virginia; two brothers, Paul Jourdan (Gladys) and John Jourdan (Judy) all of Northome, Minnesota; one sister, Alma Logdahl (Arling) of Yankton, South Dakota. Other survivors include three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Otto and Eugene Jourdan. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 03, 2010 at the Dream Catcher Inn, 10201 Starfly Road off Hwy 70 at Baylor Canyon Road exit.
