Williams (Palm and Madea) passed away on July 18, 2010. She was born August 18, 1924. She was married to John McCants on December 7, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Born to this union was Lester, John, Leslie, Evelyn (Calvin), Mark, Robin (Jerry), Dawn (Johnny), and Robert. She was a loving and caring person always giving, her family will miss her deeply. She spred her love in sewing for other people, for weddings, fashion shows, you name it she did it. No task was too big or too small. She instilled a lot of good qualities in her children. She is survived by her daughters Leslie, Evelyn, Robin, and Dawn. One son Mark. Grandchildren Dorian, Johnny, Erica, Ethan, Aaron, and a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren and family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband John, 3 sons Robert, Lester, and John. Sister Yvonne Speedy, and brother Simon. Viewing for Evelyn will take place on Monday, July 26, 2010 at First Assembly of God 5605 Bataan Memorial West Las Cruces from 9-10am. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am with Pastor David Vistine officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark McCants, Aaron McCants, Ethan McCants, Johnny McCants, Calvin Dyson, and Daemund McCants. Arrangements are with La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home.
