Hocking, who died March 1 at a local nursing home. She lived at 1346 Bon Burt Lane and had operated the Happy Hour Day Nursery. The Rev. Charles DeVries officiated. Survivors include the husband, Whitney Hocking of Las Cruces; sons, Phillip Manz, north of Las Cruces, and Karl Manz of Phoenix, AZ, one step son, Whitney L. Hocking of Rochester, NY; a daughter, June Fleig of Honeoye Falls, NY; one sister, Emmy Bort of Roswell; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
