She previously resided at Casa De Oro Care Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Anna Mae was born December 28, 1911 in Bellingham, Washington, a daughter of George Russell and Minnie Mae (Shippy) Brundage. She married Frederick K. Scott on April 17, 1934 in Port Orchard, Washington. He preceded her in death in 1976. Anna Mae lived for many years in the State of Washington, raising her family on Vashon Island, in Puget Sound. After the death of her husband, she lived for some time in Missouri and Massachusetts to be near her daughter. She taught art and music (piano and violin) over the years and continued this interest till the end of her life. The week before her death she was honored by the City of Las Cruces as its "artist of the month." Her paintings were on display in the city building and she received a plaque labeling her a "master artist," of which she was very proud. She is survived by three children, James A. Scott (June) of Seattle, Washington; David K. Scott (Phyllis) of St. Mary's, Ohio, Sylvia Stearns (Keith) of Mimbres, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Lori Hanson (Dan) of Everett, Washington, David Scott (Valerie), Jan Severt (Daniel of St. Mary's, Ohio, Cynthia Hrnicek (Michael) of Phoenix, Arizona, Brian Stearns (Karen) of Goodyear, Arizona, Ruth Ann Clyons (Michael) of Las Cruces; ten great grandchildren, Jessica and Ashley Sorensen, Jeffrey Severt of St. Mary's, Ohio, Corinne and Brian Hrnicek of Phoenix, Arizona, Keith Clyons of Las Cruces; a foster sister, Juanita Borja of Silver Springs, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Russell Brundage of Boring Oregon in 2001. Anna Mae was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Las Cruces where a Memorial Service was held for family and friends.
