He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and drove a truck for most of his adult life. He worked for Wild West Express for 20 years. He is survived by his sister, Denise and her husband Michael Yates, brothers; Robert Shackelford, Bobby Campbell, and Randy Campbell, step-brother, Paul Shackelford, Step-sister, Barbara, and many nephews and nieces; Vincent, Jamie, Eddie, Matthew, Robin, Gary, Michelle, Amy, Kay, and Bernard. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melba Shackelford, step-father, James Shackelford, step-brother, Earl Shackelford, step-sister Sue Shackelford, and nephews; Richard Yates & Vincent Shackelford. Memorial Services will be held at First Assembly Faith Chapel on Saturday January 22, 2010 at 10:00am.
