Pacheco, 57, of Las Cruces, NM passed away suddenly with her family by her side on January 20, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Emma was born in Deming, NM on April 13, 1953 to Jose H. and Anastacia Chaires Pacheco. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and laughter was her greatest joy in life. Emma was fond of motorcycles and had an enormous love for the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1202, and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She is survived by her sisters JoAnn P. Parra of Deming, NM, Frances P. and husband Larry E. Carreon of Deming, NM, Ana C. Lujan of Las Cruces, NM, Terry and husband Gilbert Guaderrama of El Paso, TX, and one brother Eddie C. Pacheco of Fort Bayard, NM. She also had a life partner, Maria Elena "Nena" Ruiz of Deming, NM. Emma had numerous nieces and nephews who adored her, and her lifelong pet "Cleo" who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anastacia Chaires Pacheco and Jose H. Pacheco. A Rosary will be prayed for her on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm at La Paz Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January, 29, 2011 at 12:30 pm at St. Genevieve Catholic Church 100 S. Espina, Las Cruces, NM. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Larry E. Carreon, Gilbert Parra Jr., Jesse Kriegel, Ezekiel Baeza, Danny Quarrell, Roman Seaburgh, Toby Jacquez, and Bob Nall. Cremation will take place by Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Arrangements are by La Paz Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM. With her passing, Emma has helped others to live as she was an organ donor and gave the "Gift of Life" in her last hours. This would be one of her proudest moments.
