James was born August 11, 1978 in Silver City, where he attended school and graduated from Silver High School. He later moved to Las Cruces where he married his wife, Elizabeth. James was known for his kindness. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Isaiah and Noah Alderette of the family home; his mother, Susan Trujillo and his stepfather, Danny; his father, Jimmy Alderette all of Las Cruces; his brothers, Raymond Alderette (Kimberly), Jason Alderette (Vanessa Ocampo), Christopher Trujillo, Daniel Trujillo (Claudia) and Lee Trujillo. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dora Alderette Melendrez, a son, baby James Alderette, Jr. and maternal grandmother, Bernarda Sandoval. Calling hours will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Baca's Chapels of Prayer, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina with the Reverend Michael Cerretto, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Raymond Alderette, Jason Alderette, Christopher Trujillo, Daniel Trujillo, Lee Trujillo, Jacob Acosta, Scotty Bernal and Ray Baca. Honorary bearers will be all of his friends.
