Pacheco, and joined our heavenly father on Sunday, January 9, 2011. She was born March 6, 1941 in Las Cruces, to Angel and Juana Orduñez. Margarita married her lifelong love of 55 years, Domingo Pacheco and together raised eight children, including a grandson. Margaret instilled determination and perseverance in her children and in turn pursued a career in nursing. She became a license practical nurse in 1979 and continued her education to become a registered nurse in 1989. The majority of her career was as a pediatric nurse, touching many children's lives and then included in her nursing career, worked as a home health nurse touching many families' lives. This was one of her accomplishments, so much she influenced two daughters, and two granddaughters to become nurses, and a third daughter is in nursing school. She is survived by her loving husband, Domingo Pacheco of the family home, two sons, Johnny Pacheco (Bea), of Fairacres, James Pacheco (Ruth) of Las Cruces, six daughters, Christina Fierro (Manny Calderon) of Las Cruces, Laura Bone (Michael) of Las Vegas, NM, Ana Pacheco of Los Lunas, NM, Stela Heredia (Mike) of Fairacres, Gracie Acosta (Frank) of Germany, and Martha Rivera (Vicente) also of Fairacres. Other survivors include two sisters, Aurora Rivera, of Las Cruces, and Susie Montes of Anthony, TX; two brothers Gilbert Orduñez, of Tortugas, and Joe Orduñez of Fairacres., also surviving her included twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents Angel and Juana Orduñez, one sister Micaela Pacheco, one grandson Antonio Fierro, and one great grandson Xavier C. Pacheco. Visitation will be held at 6 PM Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 PM Friday, January 14, 2011 in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina with the Reverend Juan Moreno, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons Sean Cranberg, Matthew Heredia, Vicente Rivera, Jr., Ian Acosta, Julian Heredia, and Isaac Rivera. Honorary bearers will be Jacob Heredia, Anthony Pacheco, Alejandro Rivera, and Alek Acosta. Entrusted to the Care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, Las Cruces, and 527-2222.
