HANNING, age 82 of Las Cruces entered eternal life May 2, 2010 at University Terrace Good Samaritan Village. He was born November 14, 1927 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Oscar Christian and Mary Elizabeth Hanning. Mr. Hanning served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Dona Ana Archeological Society and a volunteer at Good Samaritan. He enjoyed working with people, especially children; was a Boy Scout Leader, and a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years, as well serving as a docent at Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. Survivors include his wife, Sue Ann Hanning of the family home; one brother, John Richard Hanning and one sister, Dorothy Hanning. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Good Samaritan Village Auditorium.
