Crawley, 80, of Las Cruces and formerly of Abilene, TX died Sunday, June 27, 2010. He was born September 09, 1929 in Moran, TX to Buster and Mary Brooks Crawley. John was a veteran of the USMC and the Merchant Marines where he served his country honorably. He retired after many years of faithful service from Mountain Bell Telephone Communications. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and working outdoors. Mr. Crawley will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two sons Bill Crawley (Pat) and Keith Crawley (Maria) all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Crystal (Paul), Chris, Carl and Kathleen and by his great-grandson Joey. Also surviving him are many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean Crawley. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Getz Funeral home. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 01, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
