He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ducommun, his daughter, Carol Witham of Rockport, ME, his brother, Paul O. Ducommun of Alamogordo, NM, his nephews, Paul A. Ducommun of Portland, OR, Thomas Ducommun of Alamogordo, NM, his sister-in-law, Veda Ducommun and niece, Crystal Clark of Godfrey, IL, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Schneider of W. Dundee, IL, his nephews, Jerald Schneider of WI, Ronald Schneider of CO and many loving cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Linnia Ducommun and his brother Lawrence Ducommun and his sister-in-law, Hazel Ducommun. Leroy served in the United States Navy as a first class diesel engineer during WWII in the Pacific on LST 1040. Leroy worked as a pipe fitter/welder for Shell Oil Co. of Wood River, IL for 37 years before retiring in 1985. He and Marge moved to Tucson, AZ in 1995 and to Las Cruces, NM in December 2002, where they presently reside. They attended Morning Star United Methodist Church in Las Cruces, NM since coming to Las Cruces. A celebration of Leroy's life is planned for later this year. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Morning Star United Methodist Church Landscaping Fund, 2941 Morning Star Drive, Las Cruces, New Mexico, 88011.
