Ward, 87, of Hatch NM passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 1998 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June r, 1910 in Healdton, OK to James and Lydia Ward. In 1934 he married Jessie M. Wilson. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation for 27 years as a ditch rider. After retirement in 1970, he worked for several years at the Hatch Co-Op-Gin as a yardman. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jessie, of the family home. Daughters, Vonna Sheffield and huband Doyle of Victoria, British Columbia and Bonnie Russell and husband Lynn of Hatch, seven grandchildren, Ken Sheffield of Lacombe, Alberta and Scott Randal Russell of, WA., Shawn Russell of Engle, NM Debbie Palliser of Victoria, British Columbia, Beth Riggs of Artesia, NM and Cheryl Gillis of Hatch, also by 16 great-grandchildren. Jeff, who was a triplet, was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lydia Ward, his only son, James Terry, and by his three sisters and four brothers.
