Genevieve was born in Las Cruces to Vidal and Isabel Diaz. Genevieve is survived by husband, Ernest, sons, Stephen, Dennis and Jamie (wife Kristina), and daughter, Olivia LaPorta (husband Robert). She is also survived by her beloved and precious grandchildren: Benjamin Estrada, Garrett Estrada, Rebecca LaPorta, Marcus LaPorta, and Kathryn LaPorta. Surviving siblings are: brother Adolfo Diaz, sister Stella Diaz and twin sister Elisa Regalado. Besides numerous nieces and nephews, Genevieve is also survived by a very special nephew, Manuel Diaz of Amarillo , Texas , who she loved like her own son. Preceded in death were her parents, brothers: Manuel (wife Maria Elena), David, Henry (wife Consuelo), Ernest, Benjamin and Alfred, sisters: Tinnie Rodriguez (husband Tim), Elvira Decenes (husband Julian), and niece Isabel "Kitty" Granillo. Funeral services will be held at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 with burial following at Masonic Cemetery . Brother-in-law, Rev. Daniel Regalado, will officiate. Casket bearers will be her nephews: Dick Diaz, Bobby Diaz, Ruben Diaz, Danny Diaz, Hector Diaz, and grandnephew Richard Diaz. Honorary Casket bearers will be Manuel Diaz, Oscar Diaz, Alfred Diaz, Jr., David Diaz, and Manuel "Tunie" Diaz.
