She was born July 08, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Frank and Audrey Bird. She moved to Las Cruces in 1960 with her two sons Richard and Tony Williams. She worked as a financial secretary and retired after more than 30 years of faithful service. Amy enjoyed reading and rock collecting. She was an active and respected member of the First Christian Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons Richard Williams of Las Cruces and Tony Williams of San Diego, California; six grandchildren, Amy, Ivy, Jan, John, Ryan and Zackery; and eleven great-grandchildren. At Amy's request cremation has taken place and no local services will be held. Her ashes will be spread in the Oregon Mountains during the first week in July by her sons Richard and Tony.
