Anna was born on September 27, 1921 in Santa Fe, NM to Anastacio Martinez and Margarita (Gallegos) Martinez. A devout catholic, she dedicated her life and soul to her church and family. She is survived by her two sons, Edward Leon of Albuquerque, NM and Ernest Leon of Albuquerque, NM.; two daughters, Dolores Gonzales and her husband Juan Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ and Theresa Bencomo and husband Tony Bencomo of Deming, NM.; one brother, Miguel Martinez of El Paso, TX.; fourteen grandchildren, Efren Michael, Teresa, David Leon, Leticia, Jennifer, Paul Joseph Lovato, Mary Margaret, Antonio Bencomo, Edward Michael Leon, Deanna, Anna, John, Victoria and Andrew Bencomo; and twelve great-grandchildren and countless friends and admirers . She was preceded in death by her husband Efren M. Leon.; both parents; one son, Efren Leon Jr. and one daughter, Mary Margaret Lovato. Visitations will be Friday, June 11, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels-Father Stanley Hall with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7 p.m. with Deacon Richard Rodriguez reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Hall with Father Joshe Duplissey officiating. The interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Bencomo, Antonio Bencomo, David Leon, Michael Leon, Edward Michael Leon, Paul Joseph Lovato and John David Gonzales.
