Gonzalez, 86, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life Wednesday, June 02, 2010 at Casa De Oro Care Center. He was born February 25, 1924 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Mr. Gonzalez was a retired nursery worker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Augustine Gonzalez and wife, Dora of Odessa, Texas and Arturo Gonzalez of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Elvira Wilson of Las Cruces and Irene Gonzalez and husband, Efrain Favela also of Odessa, Texas, as well eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maria E. Gonzalez, a son, Guillermo Gonzalez and a daughter-in-law, Grace Gonzalez. Calling hours will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 04, 2010 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina, where recitation of the Rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 05, 2010 in the same church with the Reverend René Espejél, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. The Gonzalez Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E.
