Truax, 75, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Tuesday, June 08, 2010. He was born February 25, 1935 in Potter County, Pennsylvania to Richard and Laura Baker Truax. Mr. Truax served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Those left to mourn his passing include a son, Brian Truax of North Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Laura Minnick of Hartford, Wisconsin and Deborah Underwood of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; a brother, Richard Truax of Cuba, New York; a sister, Pat Cloyse of Portland, Oregon. Other survivors include eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna M. Truax. At Mr. Truax's request cremation will take place and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
