Longoria, 72 of Las Cruces, entered eternal life Thursday, May 27, 2010 at La Posada - Mesilla Valley Hospice. He was born January 1, 1938 in Praxedis Guerrero, Distrito Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Teresa Chavez Longoria. Survivors include his loving wife, Maria de Jesus Longoria of the family home; three sons, Cruz Alberto Longoria, Vincent Longoria and wife Lety, and Manuel Longoria, Jr., all of Las Cruces; two daughters, Carmen Torres and husband Manuel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Maria del Rosario Longoria also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include one brother, Cruz Alberto Longoria of California, and one sister, Maria de Jesus Rivera of Mexico, as well as five grandchildren, five great-grand children and numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Visitation for Mr. Longoria will begin at 5 PM Monday, May 31, 2010 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Evening Service is scheduled for 6 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the same chapel, with Pastor Jorge Leyton officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
