Jane was born on August 26, 1926 in the small town of Sevoyeta, NM. She lived in San Bernardino for over 50 years with her surviving husband, Pasqual. Also left behind to mourn her are her sister, Sarah Garcia of Rialto, CA; her brother, Monico Marquez of Rialto, CA and her four children: David of Wayne, Pennsylvania, J. Michael of Colorado Springs, CO; Patricia Hannemann also of Colorado Springs, CO and Catherine Bocanegra of East Highland, CA. She now joins her parents, Roman and Estella Marquez and her brother, Fred Marquez in His loving embrace. She experienced the joy of eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jane was an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for many years; she mentored many young Catholics through Catechism classes for over 25 years and was also active with the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America, Court of Our Lady of Peace. Private family services will be held in Colorado Springs, CO at Mt. St. Francis Church on December 27, 2004. The family invites her friends and local family members to commemorate her life with a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in San Bernardino at 9 a.m. Reception to follow at the home of Mark and Catherine Bocanegra in East Highland.
