The descendants of Juan Chávez and Manuela Romero, and their children, Luis, Catarina, Santiago, Jose Angel, and Anastacio of Sabinal, NM (1850's) and Limitar, NM (1860's) and St. John, AZ (1880's) are holding their 33rd Annual Chávez Family Reunion from the 3rd to 5th August, 2001. This is a camping reunion in the tall pines of Arizona. Take the Black Canyon Lake turnoff between Payson and Heber/Overgaard on Hwy 260. Follow the signs. Turnouts have been around 600. Pre-registration is available. Registration fees as follows: $35 per family (includes all children under 21 living at home); or $30 per couple; or $15 per adult + $5 per child.
