Compound that with the fact that NM had no "formal" system of recording births until 1919, it will be difficult to obtain records. Probably the best you could hope for would be a church record-but determining a church will not be simple either. There are some records for Valenica County on familysearch.org-but most have not been indexed, so you have to search page by page. Early NM is difficult at best! James Franklin Marxman was the son of Fred M. Marxman and Sarah C. Harlan. James Franklin Marxman fist married Hester Thatcher d/o John Pitt Thatcher and Mary Kaisey/Kaiser; they married Dec 3, 1916 in Hughes County, Oklahoma. I know of two children born to James and Hester, they are Marvin Lee Marxman and Ira Melvin Marxman. James was born in Walnut, Newton CO, Arkansas. Marvin died in Grants, Ciblo, New Mexico and Ira died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rose Byrne was James Franklin Marxman's 2nd spouse. Sarah C. Harlan was born Oct 1877 d/o James P. Harlan and Sarah Malinda Cooper. Fred M. Marxman was born Aug 1867 in Watson, Effingham, Illinois he was the s/o August Frederich Marxman and Anna Maria Henningmeier both of Prussia. Ira Melvin Marxman's wife Ethel Iona Bonner remarried after Ira died in 1978 to Hester Thatchers brother Loyd Webb Thatcher but later divorced. Ethel died in Clovis, Curry, New Mexico. Hope this helps some. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
