Three robbers shot him on Friday, Feb.10 1882 in the neck. He died on Feb. 13, 1882. The outlaws were killed by the citizens. William was also in the saloon, and restuarant business. The letter I have detailing this event was from the Postmaster - Coolidge, New Mexico - Cranes P.O. I would greatly appreciate any help on this. Thank you
