Weaver, b, abt 1875 in Wayne Co., Illinois to James Henry Weaver & Hannah Lindle (spelled many ways). I have this obit for Hannah: Obituary from Wayne County Record, Thursday, February 23, 1933, p. 4, col. 3: Hannah Weaver Dies At Advanced Age. “Hannah, daughter of John and Peggy Lindle, was born in Muskingum County, Ohio, April 14, 1844. In the tender years of childhood she was left an orphan. The home of a good and true friend, Harrison Taylor, was opened to this lonely child and she became as one of the family; moving to Illinois with this family when she was eight years of age, they settled in Wayne County near Johnsonville and for four-score years this community was her home. She saw this wild pioneer country transformed into its present state of development and always took an active interest in those things that stood for the betterment of the community in which she lived. “In young womanhood she was converted and united with the Milner General Baptist church, later she moved her membership to the Wesley Chapel M.E. church of which body she remained a faithful and consistent member until her death. “She was united in marriage with James H. Weaver, February 21, 1867. Four children were born to this union, two sons and two daughters. The two sons having died in childhood, the companion also passed away April 12, 1918. “She passed peacefully away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Bratton, Monday morning, February 13, 1933, aged 88 years, nine months and 30 days. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Albert Bratton and Mrs. O.O. Leathers, ten grandchildren, 22 great grand children and many other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing. “Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at one o’clock from the Johnsonville M.E. church by Elder W.D. Crippin assisted by the local pastor, Rev. Murdach. Interment was in the Johnsonville Cemetery.” And this article for James: “JAMES H. WEAVER, farmer, P.O. Johnsonville, was born in Monroe County, Ohio, April 14, 1843, to George and Elizabeth (Gauntz) Weaver. The father was a native of Virginia, born May 8, 1798, but his mother was born in Pennsylvania, of Dutch origin, May 28, 1806. His occupation was mostly that of farming, but by trade was a cabinet-maker. In 1856, they came to Wayne County, Ill., and made their home here till time of death. His death occurred October 6, 1879, and hers May 24, 1880. They were the parents of nine children, seven of whom yet survive. Our subject is the youngest of the family, and was brought to this country when about thirteen years of age, and has since made Wayne County his home. His occupation has been that of farming, and in this, his chosen business, he has been very successful, as his farm contains 310 acres of land, most of which are in good state of cultivation, and improved with good farm buildings, etc. He is also engaged in the raising of fr! uit. February 21, 1867, he was married, in this county, to Miss Hannah A. Lennell, who was born in Muskingum County, Ohio, daughter of John W. and Martha (Painter) Lennell. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver have two children living, and two dead--Ida Belle, Charles E. (deceased), Lou Ella, and Raleigh T. (deceased). He is a member of Lodge No. 713, A., F. & A. M. of Johnsonville, and Xenia Lodge of I.O.O.F. He votes the Republican ticket.” This article says that Raleigh is deceased, but I don't know exactly when it was written although since it appears he is still alive, it must have been before 1918 when James died. Does this sound familiar?
