Unfortunately you also need a day of the death because the obits are on microfilm and no one could go through a full year, its time consuming and hard on the eyeballs. I have also ran into the same problem -- my only suggestion is to put queries out on different sites. I have had good luck finding living relatives. Another statement-- I to have some Lamberths in my family but I have the spelling Lambirth, you might try that spelling and hopefully get some where.
