Born in Chicago on November 25, 1908, where she lived until moving to Albuquerque in 1970. Beloved wife of the late J. Edwin Taufer. Devoted mother of Mimi Taufer Colquhoun of New York and Joseph E. Taufer of Fort Collins, CO. Loving grandmother of Dorian McDonald of Lafayette, CO, Kirsten and Alexandra Taufer of Boulder, CO and David Colquhoun of New York. Dear sister of Josephine Springer of New York, Belle Fields of Wilmette, IL, the late Rosalind Springer of Chicago, and the late Natalie Liswood of Toronto. She was also known for her wonderful sense of humor, her energy, and her extraordinary skills in handicrafts, especially in knitting and jewelry making. Professionally she shared her knitting skills with her hundreds of students in the Chicago area. She served as president of the Albuquerque Rock Hounds Club and was also an active member of the Albuquerque Cactus Club.
