Kormendi, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, died Sunday, April 5, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Hicks of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Deborah Langley of Trinidad, CO, and Douglas Hicks of Hobbs, NM; great-granddaughter, Ashlee Hicks of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucille Eliason of DeSoto, TX and Hilda Malone of Parma, OH; brother-in-law, William Kormendi of Euclid, OH; and many other family and friends. Mrs. Kormendi was a volunteer for many years at the Anna Kaseman Hospital gift shop. She taught china painting at the Palo Duro Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Kormendi was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Rosary will be celebrated Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, from ! 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
