    1. [NMBERNAL] New Albuquerque Obit Looker-Upper!
    2. Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that we have a new volunteer who has agreed to do obit research in Albuquerque. Her name is Norilee Peterson and her email is npete32475@spinn.net She will be charging a small fee ($10 per obit, I think) to cover her costs for gasoline, parking, copying etc. She has also agreed to start posting current obits from the Albuquerque newspapers onto the Bernalillo County GenConnect boards. Don't forget that obits for other NM counties are often posted in the Albuq papers, so her lookup service may come in handy for the Wild Bunch. Thanks, Norilee! Vikki Gray, Bernalillo CC

The family migrated in Albuquerque around 1888. William Patten Hughes attended a Catholic Convent School in Albuquerque sometime in 1888 or 1889. He was eleven or twelve years old. Does anyone have information on which church would have had a convent school and if any records would be available. William ran away around age twelve and though his father eventually found him in the early 1900's there was little communication betwwen the two men. All the family knows about Williams father was his name, Miles, that the family came from kentucky around 1888, that Miles possibly had a brother in the same area, the family were Irish Catholic.
