J." by Rev. A. J. Fretz in 1908: Elizabeth was born in about 1820 and died in 1939. She married Joseph Gardner Angle in 1838. Joseph was born on July 21, 1814 and died on December 29, 1896. He was a farmer and a Presbyterian. Joseph is the son of David Engle who was born on June 3, 1793 and died on December 9, 1866. David is the son of Paul Engle who was born in Germany in April of 1752, came to America when a young man, died on May 28, 1808, and Catharine Biles who was born on March 25, 1753 and died on September 16, 1829.
