Hi everyone! It's me. your friendly neighborhood Listowner. There has been a dropoff in the postings lately, so it must be time for a roll call. For all of you knew to the list, in a roll call everyone subscribed sends a message to the list with the names and timeframes they are searching in Warren County. Please, do everyone a favor - if you reply to this message, delete my text and just list your surnames. Mailboxes can fill up quickly! Searching: BRANDS, EMMENS (EMMONS, etc.), KISHPAUGH, KUHL (COOL), LINABERRY, QUICK, RAUB, READ, SHACKLETON, SUTTON, VAN SCOTEN (VAN BENSCHOTEN). I'd also like to share something....something that brought home to me how far we've come. Recently my neighbor came over to borrow my computer for a quick search, as her son was using hers for a school project. We all know families like that.....one-computer families. And then I thought of the letter my grandfather's sister, Carrie (Carrie Raub Wildrick) wrote to him in 1879. (http://www.raub-and-more.com/narrative/carrielet.html) She had to close her letter "abruptly".......because her mother wanted to use the pen! Jan Reuther
