I'm looking for any information that might connect the Clarkson family of NJ to the Bird family in the late 1700's. Two (so far unrelated) Bird families, one in Somerset Co and one in Sussex/Warren Co, have sons named Clarkson Bird. The Clarkson Bird of Sussex Co. had a brother Burtis Bird that moved to Ovid, Seneca Co, NY and then to Macon, Lenawee Co, MI and there was a Daniel Clarkson who seemed to move with him. Another of Burtis' brothers (Joseph) named one son Daniel and another Joseph Clarkson. Burtis' mother's maiden name is not known. She might have been a Clarkson. Doses anyone know of a Joseph Clarkson of NJ that had children named Daniel and Euphemia (Bethany)?
