I am also researching Coles in NJ: Jacob S. Cole, b. 1820/21 in Oxford, then Sussex, now Warren County, NJ, died 1880 in Brown County, Illinois. Married Priscilla Reed in Wayne County, Pa. Parents names unknown, but from Census info, father born in Mass, mother born in NY. Anyone else's Coles go to Illinois too?
