My mother's second cousin provided me with a copy of one page of what seems to be a birth registry for the township of Franklin in Warren Co.and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could search for similar records. I don't know if he got it by sending to the county or to the state. The heading is only partially shown, the rest is cut off and probably was too wide to copy on the copy machine. It reads across the top--Births in the Township of Franklin, County of Warren, State of New Jersey from the 1st day of May, 1862 to the__________. The words Franklin, Warren and 1st day of May are hand written in where the rest of them are typed, so I am assuming these forms were provided for each township and county. The information included is as follows: Date of birth, place of birth, name and sex of child, names of parents and occupation of father. The next column is cut off so I don't know what that lists. I would like to send for these records for other members of my family but I'm not sure where to write or what to ask for. If anyone has any knowledge of this record, I would appreciate hearing from you. Please post it to the list as I am sure this may be something others will be interested in.
