Thanks, Larry >> Hi Larry, Thanks for your e-mail. I don't exactly have your John Robbins b. 1770 m. Mary Watts, but I think we could be on the same tree. Your John Robbins would have been of the same generation as my Charles ROBBINS b. abt. 1776, and the name John was carried on through my branch, which could be meaningful. I haven't identified all the children in these families, but here's what I do have -- 1 - Charles ROBBINS - b. abt. 1776 in Monmouth, NJ; d. abt 1870 in Sandyston Twp., Sussex Co., NJ; m. Hannah SPANGENBURG/SPANDENBURGH, b. abt. 1790 in Sussex Co. NJ; d. bef. 1870 2 - John ROBBINS - b. abt. 1822 in Sussex Co., NJ; m. Joshua Thomas JACOB (b. 29 May 1920 in Newark, Essex Co., NJ; d. 4 Feb 1997 in Newton (Andover), Sussex Co., NJ) I haven't had a chance to follow up on this, but the Index to Stryker's Register of New Jersey in the Revolution, New Jersey Historical Records Survey, Clearfield, p. 104-5 lists the following -- Robbins, Isaac, p. 734 Robbins, Jesse, p. 735 Robbins, Job, p. 866 Robbins, John, p. 735 Robbins, Joseph, p. 735 Robbins, Moses, p. 735 Robbins, Thomas, p. 735, 866 Robbins, William, p. 735 Robins, Moses, p. 274 Robins, Thomas, p. 274 Robins, William, p. 275 There were also several ROBBINS listed on a very early (1774?) Sussex Co. tax list, but I don't recall all the names. I do think there was a Jonathan Robbins on it, though. Please let me know if you make a connection between our family lines. Thanks! Best wishes, Liz France
