I have just learned that several of my ancestors may have been in Warren County in circa 1765 or sooner, and possibly later. I need some kind of proof of the marriage of the parents, and the birth of their first child/daughter for DAR application. If anyone can be of help on this brick-wall line, your help is sincerely appreciated. Daniel MOORE, Jr. married Elsie/Elsye LUCAS before 1765, possibly in Knowlton, Warren Co, NJ. Their first child, a daughter, Eunice MOORE, was born January or June 22, 1765, possibly in Knowlton. Eventually, Eunice Moore married Obadiah BEARDSLEY, Jr. on Nov 10, 1784 (place not known) There were reportedly a total of 12 children born to Daniel Moore Jr and Elsie/Elsye Lucas, including a son named Nathaniel Lucas Moore who was born June 5, 1782, although his place of birth is not known either. Other children were: Hannah Moore marr James Rattray Polly Moore marr James Cox Fanny Moore marr Mr. Gilbert Parmelia Moore daughter Moore who marr Mr. Beckwith daughter Moore who marr Ebenezer Russell Joseph W. Moore b 1784, became a Baptist minister Margaret Moore, youngest child, marr Asa Bingham The Lucas family were members of the Dutch Reformed Church in Raritan, but research of the church records has not given me any clues.
