Hi Lynda and other listers, I am also a descendant of John and Hannah Teeter via their daughter Mary Ann Teeter (wife of Frederick Hoffman). This branch of the Teeter family seemed to have a bit of wanderlust. They are of German ancestry having settled in PA during the mid 18th century. 'Our' line crossed the Delaware River settling in Knowlton TWP in the late 18th century. John Teeter was in Lebanon TWP., Hunterdon County by the early 19th century where he had a mill. There is a 'Teetertown' nature reserve in Lebanon TWP named after John. John's old homestead still stands and in fact was the home of Merv Griffin for several years during the 1960s. John and Hannah are buried at the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Washington TWP., Morris County. I'd be happy to share what information I have on John and Hannah's ancestry with anyone interested. Regards, Rick Novak
