Just wondering if Anyone is searching McNamees in Phillipsburg and surrounding area. I have been stuck on this for Years. About 10 Years ago I wrote Letters to every McNamee I could Find in this area and never got an answer. My Maternal Great Grandmother, Mary McNamee came over in July 1851 from Co. Leitrim, Ireland with her Mother, Mary and a Brother, Thomas. She was 9 months old and He was 4. Don't know where They went when They landed in New York. Could be N.J. or even Philly. I can't find anything on them til the 1880 Census for Lopatcong Township. G-G/M Mary married a Thomas Smith 1873 in Easton, Pa.Then I find Mary, no Thomas, with 2 Daughters on 1880 Census, Lizzie and Mary E. Her Brother, Thomas lives there too with a Wife, Margaret, and 7 Children, Kate, Anne, Lizzie, John, Lawrence, Julia, and Rose Where in the world did They all go? Has Anyone got any ideas?
