Betty- Thank you very much for the info about Shippen Manor, the book, and the 1773 Tax List which listed my 4ggrandfather John Lefler. This is exciting and new info for us, verifying what we had speculated about. Bob Lefler Note: Dr Shippen, friend of Ben Franklin, bought the Oxford Furnace from the Axfords/Oxfords.
