    3. I have a Christopher or George Lefler who married a Person and they are buried in Harmony(announced in Easton Paper)----and I believe a bunch of Leflers lived in Harmony or South Harmony. I am interested because the father of these named Leflers was John who is buried at Strw Church. His father may be old Jacob of the German Lutheran Church in Williams,Pa -just across the River. But my John born about the same time seems to be descended from Peter d 1794 m Angl family and lived in Hunterdon CO-Oxford. 2. Bob, This doesn't pertain to the message below. I believe a Johannes Engle married a Maneles (Anna Maria Magdalen) Fries. She would have been the daughter of Johannes Fries and ???. If you have info on this union and generaetions to follow I would appreciate it if you would share it. I am a descendent of Martinus Fries, Anna Maria's brother. 2. Dear Bob, What a small world....I am just outside of Knoxville between Maryville and Greenback. Anyway, do you have a Johannes Engle in your records. I cannot certify this info...it was on the internet that he married Maneles (Anna Maria Magdalen Fries) dau of Johannes and ???. Johannes later married Anna Sophia Hoffman and had several more childlren. Now I will show my ignorance...the Andirondaks is East of Elmira NY?? Martinus's son James moved to Bradford Co. PA just south of Elmira. I am descended from both of them......I think!!!! Hmmm....wonder who this Martin was that married Dorthea Loeffler in 1772. Martinus had a son named Martinus but was born in 1794 too early for this guy!! Did my Martinus, son of Johannes remarry or is it another Martinus???? 2. Marilyn Souders
    3. Bob- It was me - Marilyn Souders - who mentioned the Person/Persings. You and I have had many conversations about the Lefflers who married my Metz family. The area being discussed here, where the tavern was, is where in earlier time the Persons owned a mill and part of the 700 acres owned by William Person, Lawrence Minnier and Valentine Metz. There were also marriages between the Persons and the Metzes, both in Warren Co., and among some of their descendants in the Susquehanna Valley in PA.
