Hi, Judi...Cuz! Margaret Cool (Kuhl) (http://raub-and-more.com/jhr/14267.htm) was the daughter of William (http://raub-and-more.com/jhr/14212.htm) and Charlotte Kuhl; she was the sister of my 3rd great grandmother, Anna Kul, and of my 4th great grandmother, Mary Kuhl. William's will lists her as his daughter, Margaret Frees. I didn't have James' given name until just now, when I saw your posting. His baptism is recorded on p. 102 in the Knowlton First German and English congregation on Roger Gilbert's site at http://members.aol.com/njdata/knowlton.html. He was a twin! His parents were William Frees and Catherine. The witnesses at James' baptism were Peter Frees and his wife, Cecilia. Cecilia was the sister of my 3rd great grandfather, Michael Raub, who was married to Anna Kuhl. Very small church...they married into each other's families until you find yourself related to yourself! Peter (http://www.raub-and-more.com/jhr/14381.htm) did have a brother named William, so it's very possible that he, as the uncle, was a witness. Unfortunately, you can't be certain, of course, but if they were brothers, then Williams parents were John Frees and Catharina. Hope this helps.
