    1. Stephen and Elizxabeth (BUNN) DEAN in Greenwich Township before 1850-1860
    2. Richard Welch
    3. I am still searching for anything about Stephen DEAN (born 1775 in NJ - died before 1860 probably in Warren County) and his wife, Elizabeth (BUNN) DEAN (born ca. 1775 in NJ - probably died in Warren County, but year unknown) who lived in Greenwich Township, Warren County, when the 1850 census was taken. Stephen was listed as a carpenter in the census. They probably had at least six children: Barzilla (?); Christiana, b. 1802, moved to Ohio and married Asa BRAYTON; Catherine, born 1803, married Silas WALTERS in lived at New Germantown, Hunterdon County; Mary, born 1804, married David M. Welch of New Germantown, Hunterdon County and moved to Ohio about 1825; John and Stephen, Jr. There might have been a daughter named Rebecca, but I haven't found any proof. Elizabeth (BUNN) DEAN could also be the Jane Dean, aged 84 and born in New Jersey, in the home of Jacob (aged 47) and Rebecca (aged 43) Shultz in Greenwich Township (P.O. Philipsburg) in the 1860 Federal census. Jane might have been Elizabeth’s middle name. Nieces Mary WELCH and Christiana BRAYTON and nephews Stephen and John DEAN are mentioned in the will of their Uncle Anthony Bunn in 1866. In Theordore F. Chambers' history of the SUTTON and BUNN families, he refers to Catherine Walters’ father and Elizabeth Bunn’s husband as “Stephen Deen,” but no other information is given. My great-grandfather, Jacob WELCH, mentions in his diary a visit to his uncle Silas WALTERS' home while he was traveling home from serving in the Union Army in South Carolina. Can anyone tell me when Stephen and Elizabeth died and where they are buried? I also need information about their parents and ancestry. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
