Re: SHIPMAN query I am related thru Jacob Shipman born 1694 Germany (I had thought his father could be Harmon). He married "Maria Rosina Catherine" Hendershot Oct 1715 and lived in Tewksbury Twp, Hunterdon County, NJ I believe he had a brother Daniel who married Elizabeth Burleson and went south to Kentucky. There are also two sisters, Christina who married Casper Hendershot, Catherina who married a Ruloffsen, two brothers, Nicolaus and Friederich. Nicolaus is a witness to Jacob's will in 1761 I believe there was also a half-brother, Daniel who married Abigail Burleson. He migrated to VA and NC. The Janeway information from Marilyn confirmed Jacob had a brother Nicholas. I do not have proof of this - it is only what I learned from computer searching when I began my genealogy career only three years ago. I will go over your previous posting and try and see if it fits.
