    3. note: also take note here of the explanation of what 'd' and 'd to' mean in these records. Bob- I've got my records unpacked and found the Janeway records. I didn't see any Leffler/Laflers on the list, but there are these records for Angle: Again, the Janeway records span the years 1735-1746 and the editor, Stryker-Rodda, identified its location as Bridgewater or today Bound Brook. Angle, Philip, Nov. 37; d[elivered to] Jacobus Winterstine] , William, Aug. 35-June 40; d[elivered] Dirrick Barrantsah, Jacob and Peter Brewer, Peter Van Nest, Jacobus Winterstine, Frederick Young; his son Nov. 37; his wife Dec 35-Jly 37 I will type what S-R wrote concerning the "d" notation: "Delivery of goods to or for the subject is indicated by "d"; and "d to" indicates the subject delivered goods to or for the person or persons named, such persons probably being neighbors. As I understand that, I'd interpret that the Philip entry shows he del. to Winterstine; whereas the d note for William would be read that those individuals delivered TO him. I might even theorize that William was incapacitated as so many people over 5 years delivered to him. The last two entries I'd think would be saying that his son and his wife also delivered to him. Could William's son be Philip, as he apparently made an entry during the month that his "son" also delivered? I'll let you wrestle with all those ideas. Marilyn- Maybe we have a "roll" here! Can you tell me more about the Grandin Fulling Mill ?? Was it in Knowlton? And what are the Janeway Records? Cathy- Children of Jacob and Elizabeth Angle/Engle listed in his will of 1785: #5 was Catherine m Peter Lassiter! I have Peter Lassler/Lasslaer/Lefler/Lafler/etc b. abt 1723 m. Catherine Angle b. 1728. I also have her as the child of Jacob Angle 1705-1786 and Elizabeth Boyles. This is from my Angle Genealogy of 19 pages. This Peter is under consideration as our earliest Lefler ancester. He may be the father of Christian Lefler m Margareth Angil in 1774 in Knowlton, their daughter was Elizabeth. Will of Peter Lafler/Lefler of Oxford nxt to Knolton proved in 1794 and admin by Paul Angle, etc. These families in Knolton were close knitt. A John Lefler owned property on the River and the family also married Pace and DeWitt. All this discussion of these families gets interesting. Bob Lefler
