Washburn, 38, of 739 Coal street, died this morning at the State Hospital, Allentown, after an illness of seven years.He was born in Washington, N.J., a son of Eugene Washburn, South Side, And the late Flora Washburn. He was a member of the Second Methodist Episcopal Church and was employed as a spinner by the Stewart Silk Corporation for about 14 years. Deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Washburn; his father, Eugene Washburn; five children, Mrs. William Frank, of South Side; Eleanor, Frances, Bertha Mae and Frank, Jr., at home. He also leaves three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Sue Walters, Miss Ella Washburn, Miss Grace Washburn, Grover and George Washburn, all of South side, and Marshall Washburn, of Wilson borough. Services were conducted by the Rev. Clarence B. Felton, pastor of the Second M.E. Church and burial was made in Hay's Cemetery. The pallbearers were George Washburn, Grover Washburn and Marshall Washburn, brothers of the deceased, and Willaim Scharrs, Walter Rockafellow and James Kienzie. [End]
