Listers, I'm so glad this topic came up--I've wondered for a long time how the diminutive ending "tje" is pronounced. Is the "j" interchangable with an "i", and is it like the ending on "Susie" or "Katie"? I have Dutch ancestors and would like to know how to say the names.
