    3. I am wondering if anyone on the list is researching the Hannas family? I have the death certificates for my greatgrandfather William H Williams born in New Jersey in 1861 and his brother John W Williams born in New Jersey in 1855 both certificates list Julia Hannas as the mother. The father would be Henry M Williams born in 1829. The 1860 census places the family in Sandyston, Sussex County and lists Julia age 28 years of age. That would make her born aproximately in 1832, Susan Hanners and her son John are living with the family on the 1860 census. I am looking for the family in both Sussex and Warren Counties because I believe I found Henry and his father William J Williams living in Warren County. I would appreciate any and all help . Thanks Linda

    3. I was scanning the posts earlier and I thought someone mentioned a Cornell family tied into all the posts with the Bellis and Angle's earler today. But for the life of me I can not relocate it. I am trying to find a living member of the Albert D. Cornell and Harriet E. Rusling union. They were married in Jeffersonville, Vt. but returned to Newton/ Stillwater area where Harriet died. Is anyone connected to this family? Also I have a Margaret Angle who is the wife of Edward F. Rusling of Blairstown Warren Co. children Mary Rusling 1869 and John Blair Rusling.1873 Any one have either of these families connections. ? -- Ann Brown " Cookie"

    3. What was Martha's last name?? Lots of Everitt and Garrison in the Finger Lakes. A Justus Garrison line starts in Putnam County and Cold Spring on the Hudson, others in Westchester. The trick will be to find the connection!!!. Perry Streeter has worked on this. This line goes to the finger Lakes and marries Barber. One part of this then goes down into Tioga /Bradford COs ,Pa, where there is a big Garrison family. Big Everitt family in the finger Lakes , then also some down into Pa. This family intermarried with the BELLIS, LAREW, VAN KIRK, BEAM, BECK, KEYSER, BARNES, RIBBLE, etc. families. I have about 20 family notes cards on Angle/Engle if you have a specific one. I also know Francis CRAWN did extensive work on the Angles at the request of Albert STOKES. Mr. CRAWNs files are available on microfilm at the main branch of the Sussex County Library in Frankford, NJ. Because of the intermarriages, this family has always been my genealogical tangled ball of yarn. There's even a "wills war of words" which I will include under different cover. Hope this helped, Cathy

    3. Hi Rafer & others, I listed a Hester Cowell in my message. She is the wife of David VanKirk of Warren County, N.J. He was Justice of the Peace, his brother, John was Sheriff and enumerator of the 1850 Knowlton Census. Married David VanKirk on 8 March 1808. 8 Children are (I have most of their children and grandchildren also): Elizabeth born ca 1828, m. Andrew Titus William John VanKirk b. 19 Sep 1830, m. 1. Nordhofen/Selters Reformed Church - LDS film numbers & German mapfinder
    2. Bellis Genealogy
    3. Marshall, On the microfilm the church is identified as "Nordhofen Dekanat: Selters" and it could be that the church was actually located in Nordhofen. Nordhofen is about one mile south of Selters; Selters was the village where the BELLESFELTs lived. Maxsain is 1.8 miles northeast of Selters. The church seemed to have members mainly living in Vielbach/Fullbach, Moggendorf, Quirenbach, Selters, Kullberg?, and Nordhofen although every now and then there'd be folks from Maxsayn/Maxsain and other villages not so far away. I don't know if there'd be another Reformed church located so close by in 1717...but have no idea. There are about 10 LDS films of the Nordhofen church books, but only two are of the period that interested me: #1552890 covers 1659-1836 #1195112 covers 1659-1790 I can't confirm if the Paul KUHL involved with the founding of the Amwell German Reform church is the same man naturalized in 1730; that has been my working assumption but I don't know the KUHL lineage well enough. Online databases indicate that the mother of the Paul married to Eva KAES was Anna Veronica STAADS. STAADT/STAAD/ attended the Nordhofen church. So did HUMMER/HUMMERICH, JUNG, DIETZ, ALLER, HOFFMAN, BERG, and of course BELLESFELTs which are surnames of other men also naturalized the same day as Paul in 1730. One of Paul KUHL's descendants married a descendant of immigrant Adam BELLESFELT and ended up with Adam's old homestead which was located on the south side of Kuhl Road just east of Copper Hill. The only Larison's Corner church record I've seen is what's online: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/nj/hunterdon/church/amwell.txt For a good German map website, try: http://www.germany-tourism.co.uk/pages/detailmaps.html Just fill in the "city" field and up comes a map which you can "enlarge", although it's not immediately evident which icon is "enlarge"; there is a zoom function as well. You can also seek directions between two towns. This feature is called "Route Planner" found under the red tab marked "Travel". If you type in Selters or Nordhofen the system will come back wanting you to designate which one. Our particular Selters is in Rheinland-Pfalz (56242) as is Nordhofen; there's only one Maxsain. Is this the same Paul KUHL who was naturalized as "Paul Kole" 8 Jul 1730? He married Eva Maria KAES and is buried in the Kuhl Burial Ground, Copper Hill, Amwell Township, Hunterdon Co. If so, I have from another researcher that (Johann) Paul KUHL was born on 24 Mar 1700 in Maxsain, Neuweid-Westerwald, Germany and confirmed in Maxsain in 1717. Is Selters in the Maxain area?
