Pam, Sorry, my fingers got reversed in the typing. Mary C. Read, wife of William Knitz was born in 1856, not 1865. Esther
Pam, I don't know if this will help but there are several members of the Knitz family buried in Hainesburg Cemetery, Knowlton Township, Warren County: Margaret A. Knitz 1836-1914 William Knitz 1865-1923 Mary C. Read, wife of William Knitz 1865-1927 Anna Knitz born 1874, no death date. Esther Read Read Family Connections http://www.charm.net/~edrtjd/readgen/
Hi list I have just joined your list and posted a query for the Kintz/Kent family re the father of Jacob Dietrich Kintz b.1830. Jacob had a sister, Susan, b.1828 and possibly a sister, Rachel [or his mother's name was Rachel]. Jacob was raised in Northampton Co PA, Upper Mount Bethel Township, but I am becoming convinced that his line is connected to Warren County and he may well have been born there. He lived in Hacketstown in 1891 and may have lived there until his death in 1908. He is buried in Johnsonville, UMBethel Township. Oh, please help. Pam Proctor

That area was called Oxford Furnace prior to just Oxford. There is a website that the municipality has that details a lot of their history, shows pictures of the smelter and other items. As I remember, I found it through Yahoo. I wondered if anyone knew what townships the towns were in when they were a part of Sussex County? I am interested in the town of Oxford, specifically. It is in Oxford Township as a part of Warren County, but if my ancestor was born there about 1820/21, a couple of years before it became Warren County. If anyone has any idea or knows anyone who knows, let me know please. Thanks! Hi, folks.... I've added Rockport Cemetery, Township of Mansfield, to my web site. You can find it at http://raub-and-more.com/rockportcem.html. Jan Reuther
I am researching my gg grandmother, Margaret CLANCY who was married (?) to George SIMONS. They had three children that I know of- Elizabeth (my g grandmother), Mary J(ane), and Zachariah. In 1860 Elizabeth married my ggrandfather, Ferdinand HANTKE. On two certificates it states Margaret born in US, on census and other documents, it states her birth as Ireland. I would like any morsel of info anyone might have on Margaret CLANCY. I believe their domicile was NY state, with Rochester and Brooklyn/NY area. Canadian ties also a possibility. Hoping to hear from someone soon! Susan Hantke-Ogden
